FAQ: Cisco Certified service delivered by IBM
How are you able to provide the support so cheap?
IBM provides their own level 1 and 2 support, so essentially you’re buying IBM services on Cisco products combined with our global status with the vendor.
What’s the difference between IBM and Cisco?
Basically, it’s the number you (or the customer) dial for support. And instead of guy showing up with a Cisco badge, he’ll have an IBM badge, but with the proper Cisco certifications.
My engineers need access to the Cisco Portal to perform updates. Will we still have this when buying through IBM?
Yes, your engineers will still benefit from the same access and nothing will change for them. All you need to do is give us the relevant CCO account name with attached email address and we’ll link that to the contract. The only change is the number you dial for support.
How about the TAC Support from Cisco?
You have access to Level 3 TAC Support from Cisco. IBM is certified to provide level 1 and 2 support.
We get rebates from Cisco, if we buy from you would it count towards our Cisco target?
No, it won’t count towards your Cisco target, thus you won’t receive rebates from Cisco over it. However, these rebates are maybe 4 % or 5 %, which you receive at the end of the quarter or year. What we provide is 20 % to 30 % cheaper and is upfront. We know, what we would prefer.
